Editor,Mr. Bill Clinton, Ms. Chelsea Clinton and Mr. Paul Farmer – Thank you for your continued service. I am a member of an NGO in Rwanda, focusing on rheumatic heart disease damage requiring surgery. The point is, it is preventable. While I focus at the apex of this problem, your efforts are working at the base. RIGHT ON! The U.S. nursing and medical school involvement places resources and expertise exactly where it is needed to execute the most meaningful impact possible for the health promotion and disease prevention among the Rwandan people. Rwanda is, in so many ways, becoming a model for success and stability in the region.Don Harris, USA(Response to the story ‘Bill Clinton announces new medical assistance to Rwanda’ – The New Times, July 20)
