Dear editor,

I would like to remind everybody that we drawing closer to commemorating world environment week, where we highlight our individual roles in protecting and conserving our environment.

Let me take this platform therefore, to awaken fellow country men and women to take up these roles seriously, because if the environment is mishandled, the impacts directly fall on us.

This noble responsibility should come from our homes, through undertaking protective measures like burning polythene bugs, using ‘londereza’ stoves and others, generally minimizing the impact of human activity on our environment.

Before undertaking any activity, one should first do an environmental impact assessment of that activity, if it is negative, go ahead and stop it.
