Music can be used to champion humanitarian causes to impressive effect. With many people responsive to music, the power in the hands of musicians to bring about desired changes cannot be underestimated.October will provide an opportunity to put this on display when the Nile Gold Jazz Safari begins in Uganda. October is also Cancer Awareness month.Proceeds from jazz concert will go toward the Uganda Rotary Cancer programme, according to organisers. The plans are in place to construct a cancer ward at Nsambya Hospital to address the threat that has been identified as a growing menace. A good causeMusic will be on hand to bring a little brightness into the world of sufferers but also to help the message to go forth about awareness. An impressive array of musicians has been put together to perform.
