NGO builds Frw30m health centre

NYAMASHEKE — Kageno Rwanda, a US-based Non-Government Organization (NGO) has constructed a health centre worth over Frw30 millions in Rangiro Sector, Nyamasheke District.

The health centre was officially unveiled by the district Mayor, Vincent Muragwa. The health facility has a Pharmacy, four treatments rooms, two sterilisation rooms, two laboratory rooms, store and a water tank.

Commissioning the health facility, Muragwa commended Kageno-Rwanda for their work, saying it was timely.

"On behalf of the district, I thank all members of Kageno Rwanda who are here at this function for funding the construction of this wonderful health centre. It would help us in improving the health conditions and living standards of all residents in the whole district,” Muragwa said.

He urged residents to maintain the facility. He asked the residents to register for health insurance (Mituelle de santé,) to go for voluntary HIV counseling and testing in order to know their health status.

Lévi Ngilimana, the project coordinator said that they would soon construct a nursery school, and a community development centre in the same sector.
