American- Senegalese R&B and Hip-hop recording artiste, Akon, yesterday confirmed on social media that he will be performing live in Kenya on October 27 and 28 at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi.The Senegalese-American artiste announced this on his twitter page @Akon as well as on his official Facebook page (facebook.com/AKON) where he created two Facebook events inviting his fans to his shows in Kenya.The last time Akon was in Kenya was three years ago when he attended the second MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) at the Kasarani Sports Complex.Akon was born in Saint Louis, Missouri and spent some of his earlier years in Senegal, his parents’ native country.
