Oct. 12Botswana vs RwandaOct. 27Rwanda vs BotswanaUNDER-17 national team head coach Richard Tardy has called up a provisional squad of 23 players to start preparations ahead of the forthcoming African Youth Championship qualifier against Botswana.The junior wasps play away to Botswana in the first leg of the second round qualifier on October 12 in Gaborone, while the second leg will be played on October 27 in Kigali.According to Tardy, the players will join residential camp today at Impala hotel and start training on Saturday at Ferwafa turf.Blaise Itangishaka, who plays for Senegal’s Aspire academy is the only foreign-based player summoned to the provisional squad named yesterday.The squad which played against Nigeria in two friendlies early this month remains unchanged as the Frenchman is seeking ways of staging a good result away in Gaborone.Botswana beat Malawi 4-2 on penalties after both teams played an overall 3-all after the second leg played in Gaborone over the weekend.The winner over the two-legged qualifier will face the winner between Somalia and Algeria in the final qualifying leg due later this year.The finals of the 2013 Africa U-17 championship will be held in Morocco.Last year, Rwanda reached the final of the U-17 African Championship only hosted in Kigali to lose to Burkina Faso 2-1 but earned maiden qualification to compete at the Fifa U-17 World Cup held in Mexico.Amavubi U-17 Squad:Yves Rwigema, Fiston Nkinzingabo, Bertrand Iradukunda, Kassim Ndayisenga, Abdul Rwatubyaye, Ibrahim Nshimiyimana, Jean Luc Rwatubyaye, Anderson Neza, Latif Bishira, Fitina Omborenga, Innocent Twagirimana, Ismail Uwihoreye, Djihad Bizimana, Patrick Sibomana, Rashid Kalisa, Yves Kimenyi, Cedric Kubwimana, America Kalisa, Blaise Itangishaka, Alphonse Nsanzabera, Kevin Shema, Didier Mfashingabo and D’amour Ishimwe.
