Staff members of Cogebanque, a local bank, boosted Agaciro Development Fund with Rwf70 million.The contribution was announced on Tuesday at a function organised at the bank’s premises in Kigali.Speaking at the event, the bank’s Board Chairman, Ephraim Turahirwa, observed that it’s not the amount that matters but the commitment."The contribution is an expression of support to the country’s vision. We are born with dignity (Agaciro) and we just need to uphold it. Every contribution counts for the giving heart matters. Thanks to those who came up with this idea,” he said.The bank’s Director General, Alain Lepatre, said the contribution was part of enhancing their support to government programmes, adding that it in part enriches its clients. Theonestine Mukabanana, the bank’s Marketing Manager, explained both national and foreign staff members considered it an opportunity to contribute to such a noble cause. "We all gladly chose to contribute and contribute at once not in bits. We gave as a family to our mother Rwanda for our dignity,”The Director General corporate services in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Enata Dusenge, appreciated the bank’s gesture, noting that every contribution counts.
