Before the premier of the action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman movie, there were speculations on whether scandalous fling between director Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart would affect the sales of the movie. According to an article in The Huffingtonpost posted on July 3rd, 2012 stated that ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’ soared at The Box Office, bypassing ‘Men In Black 3’ by $56.3 Million’. The Snow white fairytale is familiar to many but the movie gives it a dark fantasy twist. It starts with a woman trying to reach for a beautiful red rose that survived the harsh conditions of a snowy weather. But the thorns prick her and three drops of blood fall on the snow. The woman is a noble queen who gives birth to a girl very beautiful with a pure heart. The pure heart is portrayed when the young girl rescues injured birds. After a few years the queen dies and in his grief, the King takes on a new wife Ravenna (Charlize Theron) who ends his life. Her dark magic destroys the entire kingdom and swings it into misery. Ravenna the wicked queen is obsessed with preserving her looks by draining souls of young, beautiful girls. However, she never imagined that the young woman threatening her reign (fairer than her) is none other than her stepdaughter, Snow White (Kristen Stewart). The feeding magic mirror tells Ravenna that Snow white‘s beating heart will give her the ticket of immortality.  Snow White escapes the prison and runs to the black forest where Ravenna’s magic cannot reach. Ravenna tells the ‘Huntsman’ (Chris Hemsworth) to bring her Snow White and in return she will bring his wife back to life. The Huntsman realizes later the true identity of Snow white and is ready to give up everything just to protect her.
