AMY WINEHOUSE only released two albums during her 27 years kicking around Camden. When her estate released her posthumous collection, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, everyone realised she had so much more to give before her tragic death in July last year. But her musical legacy couldn’t be looking stronger — with a box set of brilliant material coming out this November. Amy Winehouse At The BBC is an impressive bundle of material which will go down a storm with her legions of fans globally. Her pal, rapper Nas, said: "When I found out we lost her I felt a sense of creative emptiness in the world. "It cut me so deep because I thought what she was put on the Earth to do wasn’t fully accomplished yet. "After many days and nights of reflection sitting in the studio or at my home it really hit me. Her passing was a wake-up call to the world"It taught us all to not only appreciate life but to also not be afraid to express yourself, however you do it best. "Her time on Earth may have been short but her impact on us all will last for many lifetimes to come. I love you Amy. We love you Amy.” The special-edition box set includes Amy’s earliest BBC Radio sessions, her first ever TV performances, as well as interviews, rarely seen footage, unheard gems, rarities, unique covers and live versions of classic songs from albums Frank and Back To Black. Jools Holland has picked 14 live tracks from BBC Sessions to go with a DVD of her performance at Porchester Hall, London, and a special DVD documentary called Amy Winehouse — The Day She Came To Dingle. Amy’s estate will donate all the royalties to the Amy Winehouse Foundation charity. There are still unreleased tracks she recorded with Snoop Dogg kicking around somewhere but there are no plans for them to be released.
