Musicians, artists, dance troupes, actors, radio presenters, and journalists working in Rwanda, will this Sunday meet at Kigali Serena Hotel to organiSe a concert dubbed, ‘Agaciro k’Umuhanzi’ whose proceeds will go to the Agaciro Fund.According to the initiators of the meeting, Beautiful People, the concert is aimed at cementing the fact that local artistes give back to their community just like all other professions. With the growing number of artistes in Rwanda, we can get together and contribute to the development of the country by collecting money for the Agaciro Development Fund just like all Rwandans are doing,” said Nellie Ingabire, the CEO of Beautiful People.Ingabire said the plan is to organise a music concert at Amahoro Stadium for the cause. The concert will mainly include performances by all artists (musicians, dance troupes and actors).Meanwhile, Beautiful People and Kigali Serena have reached an agreement allowing musicians to use Serena premises at subsidised rates. They have also sought the services of renowned Ugandan producer, Washington, to make songs for artistes signed to them. The Agaciro Development Fund is a solidarity fund that was initiated by Rwandans to improve the level of financial autonomy of Rwanda as a nation. The Fund sets the tone that Rwandans can work together to drive their own development; giving the entire Rwandan population a higher level of direct ownership in the nation’s projects.
