An NGO, Film Without Boarders trained orphans from SOS to establish more job creators. They trained at the Agahozo Shalom Village last week. The organization will continue this training for orphans in and around Kigali. The New Times’ Pelagie N Mbabazi asked the trainees what they learnt from this experience."I was trained in sound management so given the opportunity today to make a movie, I know how, when and where to get the right sound for the movie.”Jean Pierre Ngabo, ES Ngara Nyamagabe, S.2"I was taught how to operate a camera, a reflector and other equipments that make a good film. On my own, I think I’d do pretty great.”Sylvine Niyomwungeri, Notre Dame de la Providence, S.5"When I watch movies I am able to tell if the location used in a certain movie is right or not because I learned how to choose suitable locations when shooting a film.”Alain Guillaume Manisha, SOS, S.5"I am a good designer and given the chance to express my talent in the film industry in Rwanda, I will do a great job and everyone will be amazed by my skills.”Marie Merci Mukarugwiza, SOS, S.5"I think I’d be good at directing because I only need leadership skills. My trainers and most of my friends have recognised this leadership skill in me which makes me capable of directing.”Patrick Nsengumuremyi, Sonrise, S.4"Film Without Borders has given me the opportunity of a lifetime to learn something that would help improve my life financially. By venturing into film, I could help the film industry in Rwanda and also make a name for myself.”Lionel Uwumuhire, Don Bosco, S.3 "To make a successful movie, I have learned that choosing actors isn’t just something to take lightly. The actors should be creative as well and not just leave everything to the director!”Natalie Uwimana, SOS, S.5
