RWANDA Volleyball Federation plans to use the proceeds from the Carré d’As tournament as their contribution to the Agaciro Development Fund, the federation vice president Philbert Mutwarasibo told Times Sport.No specific dates have been set, but according to Mutwarasibo, the tournament will be held between October 10 and 20."We have not yet decided the date of the competition but there is a proposal of mid next month,” the official told this paper yesterday."All the money we will get from gate collection will go to the Agaciro Development Fund, but will first officially inform all the teams about the initiative.”Mutwarasibo also noted that in addition to the gate collections, all federation staff will be requested give personal contribute towards the Fund.FRVB is the third sporting federation, after Ferwafa and Ferwaba, to organise a competition to help raise funds for the national solidarity fund.Ferwafa collected a total of Frw5.01 million, while the basketball fraternity’s contribution will be known after the competition has ended at the weekend.
