Rwanda’s second tennis seed Jean-Claude Gasigwa has stormed the finals of the in going International Tennis Federation/CAT Money Circuit that is being held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Gasigwa who is making his second appearance in the Kenyan Money circuit this year easily overcame Zimbabwe’s Peter Nyamande 6-1 6-3 in the semi finals.

Gasigwa told Times Sport by phone from Nairobi yesterday that his opponent had displayed some resistance in the first set despite winning it 6-1. 

"Nyamande was good but my experience enabled me to win and I will be looking forward to battle for the title tomorrow (today).”

In the other semi-final clash, Martin Dzuwa of Zimbabwe reached the finals after defeating Kenya’s Gilbert Kibet on 6-3 6-3.

"My clash with Dzuwa in the finals will be a real challenge,” Gasigwa said, adding that he will leave no stone unturned to win the event’s men title.

Gasigwa who goes on court at 11am local time said, "Dzuwa has defeated me twice and I won’t let him do it a this victory again. It’s revenge now.”

Gasigwa lost to Dzuwa twice in the third leg of the ITF/CAT money circuit finals 4-6 5-7 held in Kenya in April and 4-6 4-6 during the Uganda Tennis Open finals held in March.

However, Gasigwa managed to defeat the Zimbabwe born 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the first leg of the ITF/CAT money circuit finals held in Kigali in early March.
