Kris Jenner went under the knife in Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians -- but it was all for a good cause. The 56-year-old reality TV matriarch said she decided to air her breast implant replacement surgery (her second) to remind other women to not keep their implants in for too long."I thought it was such a great idea to film that,” Jenner said on the TODAY show, Tuesday, of taking the cameras with her for surgery. "The reason I went in and did that was because I had had my implants in for 152 years -- you know, a long time, way longer than their shelf life.”"You know, take them out and change them after 10 years,” she explained. "That was a big message and important for me to sort of put out there in a comical way. You know, I made fun of myself. Because at my age, you’re over 50 -- like, when do you stop? But it was so important, health-wise, to remind women to check your expiration date because it’s a health risk.” (Jenner didn’t elaborate any further, but well-known risks of breast implants are leaking and rupture).Agencies
