Though we may not live on a coast, there are plenty of opportunities near and far to prance around in a bathing suit. Whether you’re at the Serena pool or Lake Muhazi, Zanzibar or Kibuye, it’s not hard to look gorgeous in the sun with these trendy essentials:Head: Burning your scalp is never fun, and when lounging in the sun covering your face with a hat works perfectly - no tan lines! Big, floppy ones were popular this season, but if that doesn’t suit your look, the classy fedora always works well too. The Bohemian look is still in, and a cool handkerchief provides relief and style! Eyes: Seems like a no-brainer, but don’t leave these behind! Ray-bans’ Wayfarers or Aviators never go out of style, though the big, round look is all the rage now. Check out Dior’s latest for some gorgeous new frames that will fit in with any look or place. Body: I’ve yet to find the perfect cover up, but I believe it’s out there! Easily fashionable is the timeless sarong, which can be wrapped up, down, around in any way. Open knit sweaters are often becoming to the figure, and the giant man’s shirt has always been used. A light weight maxi dress is incredibly flattering to any shape, and being that they’re in style this year, you can’t go wrong.Bikini: Probably the most important part of your beach ensemble, every year you’re plagued with the decision of which color or style to go for. The most important thing to remember when shopping for a bathing suit is to be comfortable.  Don’t pick something too tight, too revealing or too complicated; you’re swimming and lying in the sand, not modeling for Vogue. If you’re comfortable, you’re confident and attractive, and that guarantees fun in the sun!
