Editor, Allow me to comment on a story that appeared in The Sunday Times, September 9, titled “Rwanda’s anti-corruption journey”. True, Rwanda has done well and this is due to commitment by the top leadership.
Editor,Allow me to comment on a story that appeared in The Sunday Times, September 9, titled "Rwanda’s anti-corruption journey”. True, Rwanda has done well and this is due to commitment by the top leadership.Corruption is a societal cancer and, if not fought collectively, it can destroy the entire society. We must not relax.Rwandans ought to realise that corruption causes poverty and it is an obstacle to development, which we need badly. Corruption only benefits a few who have access to public funds. It’s self evident that corruption tends to make the wretched of the earth even poorer, by denying them their rightful share of economic resources or life-saving services. The poor cannot afford to bribe and, as such, they wallow in poverty for the rest of their lives.Bonny KarekeziNyamata
