Mashami to lead Isonga FC next season

Youthful Vincent Mashami has been given three months to prove whether he can manage to lead Isonga FC next season following Eric Nshimiyimana move to league and cup champions APR FC.According to Isonga FC chairman Gregoire Muramira, Mashami will lead the team and after three mouths they will assess his performance before deciding if he can continue or if they need somewhere else."We have to give Rwandan coaches a chance, it’s the only way we can find out whether they are up to the challenge. This is the only way they can show what they are capable of, and I hope he will do a good job with the young boys,” Muramira told Times Sport on Friday. Muramira also revealed that the majority of the U17 national team will be promoted to Isonga this season after the team (Isonga), which is also the national U20 side, released 16 players.According to Muramira, a host of Primus National Football League sides have picked most of the released players and the remaining ones are also in talks with new clubs. Mashami, who is one of the most promising upcoming Rwandan coaches, was Nshimiyimana’s assistant last season and is also Richard Tardy’s right-hand man with the junior wasps teams.Isonga will start their preseason training on Monday. The team finished in the top six last season in its debut season in the top flight division.
