Editor, I read with keen interest your article in Tuesday’s issue of The New Times, titled " Indian community marks Harvest Day.”Both these two great countries, India and Rwanda, have primarily agricultural economies. Therefore, the Harvest Festival is of great significance and is celebrated with much grandeur. The colourful dances performed are a treat for the eyes.Onam and Umuganura Festivals do provide the perfect blend for stronger Indo - Rwandan cultural ties. Please allow me to wish Binoy Thomas’ Chairman, Rwanda Malayalee Association, and the entire Indian community in this beautiful Land of a Thousand Hills and a Million Smiles warmest harvest - time greetings.Clarence Fernandesclavinmarketing@gmail.com
