The U-18 Africa youth handball Championship will continue this evening as the National U-18 Handball Team takes on Morocco in a semi-final tie at the BK Arena at 7pm.

Rwanda qualified for the semi-finals on Friday after drawing with Algeria 30-30 in its last group match.

The team proceeded out of Group B as runners up behind Egypt, having won one match, lost one and drew one.

Meanwhile, Morocco advanced to the semi-finals after a dominant 43-34 win over Libya in their last game in Group A.

Group A comprised Morocco, Libya, Uganda and Burundi, while Group B had Rwanda, Egypt, Algeria and Madagascar.

All the four teams that made it to the semi-finals have earned a ticket to participate in the Youth World Handball Championships in Croatia next year.

Meanwhile, in another semi-final game that will take place today, Burundi will be up against Egypt.
