Sitting Volleyball competitionThursdayRwanda     0-3 IranYesterdayRwanda     0-3 BrazilSundayRwanda     vs ChinaMondayRwanda vs Bosnia & HerzegovRWANDA’s sitting volleyball team lost to Brazil yesterday, their second defeat in as many games at the London 2012 Paralympic Games at ExCeL arena.It is proving to be tougher than expected for debutants, who lost their opening match to defending champions Iran 3-0 (11-25, 6-25, 8-25) and again saw their hopes fade further with a second defeat at the hands of Brazil 3-0 (5-25, 5-25, 13-25).Skipper Emile Vuningabo was Rwanda’s top point scorer with four points while Jean Bosco Ngizwenimana added three points. Dominique Bizimana, James Rutikanga, Jean Baptiste Gahamanyi and Fulgence Hagenimana scored two points each.After two matches and now two to go, Peter Karreman-led side faces China on Sunday before winding up their group stage action against Bosnia & Herzegov on Monday.In Pool A, Germany beat Morocco 3-0 (11-25, 10-25, 9-25). In the women category, Ukraine beat Great Britain 3-0 in their first women’s Sitting Volleyball match yesterday.After the group matches, the top eight teams qualify for the knockout phase, with the winners of the semi-finals going head to head for the gold medal.
