Paralympic GamesSitting volleyball TodayBrazil vs Rwanda 3pmDeemed the team to beat at the London 2012 Paralympics, Brazil is a highly ranked team that will surely be a great challenge for Rwanda in their second preliminary group game this afternoon at the ExCel-South Arena 2.Team Rwanda, which is playing their second game in 16 hours, will have to employ a high level of recovery to offload the fatigue and quickly tune their minds to facing one of the strongest sides at this event. "We are aware that they are a strong side but are prepared for the challenge and we remain focused that is the level of competition at the Paralympics” Rwanda’s national team head coach Peter Karreman told Times Sport yesterday. In front of up to 10,000 fans, Rwanda has to overcome so many hurdles and execute their game plan without much of a distraction from the fans.Team captain Dominique Bizimana believes that this is the time to show the world that there is more to Rwanda than the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis, a reputation that has far superseded the country’s image despite efforts by citizens to participate in many a competition."At the mention of Rwanda, every person relates to the genocide but among our aims at this year’s Paralympics we shall show the world that, we, as Rwandans, have recovered from the genocide and it has been 18 years since it happened.
