Editor,This is a very welcome development. Rwanda is forging ahead due to good leadership. I am very happy as a Rwandan to see that finally bold steps are being taken to address the issue of self sufficiency in terms of medical specialists. These 49 – and others to come – visiting specialists should as well strengthen the pre-service teaching of our medical students (first degree level) at NUR to upgrade their knowledge and skills. Kudos to the leadership of Rwanda.
