Young women are always being escorted by their friends on dates, something that is bothering our brothers.  It’s understandable when the man your friend is going to meet don’t know them well, especially if it is the first time. But don’t make it a habit! There is always a first time for everything but making it habit is out of order. If you don’t trust the man who invited you for a date, why don’t you suggest meeting in a public place instead of a cosy restaurant It has become a habit for most young women to go for a date and take along three or five of their friends but men are not taking it well. In fact some men have opted to make it a point to say that when they are taking a young woman on a date they are taking ONLY her. Not her posse.  I don’t know if it crossed this young woman’s mind that her friend could be more charming than her and the man will try to vibe her during the course of the date. Last evening I overheard a guy narrating his ordeal of how he invited a woman for a date and she decided to come with four of her friends. He said that he played it cool and after dinner, he decided to pay for his meal and for the one he had invited.  The other four young women started to brand him a mean person but when one looks into the issue you discover that he did was right. He had not invited them. In fact if we are to blame anyone, it should be the girl who was invited and had no courtesy to inform the man that she was coming with her friends. He probably had budgeted for only two people. Therefore young women should know it’s polite to always inform the person inviting them for a date that they are bringing a friend along. This should also apply to sisters; being related doesn’t give you the guarantee to purposely invite yourself on a date.  If the man mentions the fact that he wants to meet some of your relatives then you should suggest tagging along with one of your sisters or brother s but not the whole clan.
