On Sunday, gospel artiste Baptiste J. Timamu launched his third album dubbed Niwowe Byose, in various churches around Kigali. The album consists of ten songs including Nzineza, Gutoranya, Nicyo Gihe, Garukiraho, among others.Speaking to The New Times, Timamu said he has been working on the album since 2009. All the songs featured on the album are in Kinyarwanda."The reason I have taken this long to come up with an album is because I was working with various church choirs to make sure my fans enjoyed the music the way they always do. I didn’t want to come up with anything substandard because of doing things in a hurry,” said the singer. He attributed his success to commitment and consistent cooperation which according to him has enabled him to spread the gospel to various parts of the country."Music is an inspiration through which people reach out to others. It could be a way to pass on informative messages or a simple reminder on what life is about and what is expected of them. Such lessons lead them to the kingdom of God,” he said.Timamu rose to fame in 2005 when he released his first single Humura Mwanawanje. In 2006, he launched his first album – also called Humura Mwanawanje.
