President Paul Kagame yesterday began a four-country visit to Asia consisting of official visits to Singapore, Vietnam and South Korea and a working visit to Japan where he will participate with other African heads of state in the fourth Tokyo International Conference for Africa’s Development (TICAD) taking place in Yokohama.

Kagame arrived in Singapore yesterday and will today be received by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsieng Loong at an official welcome ceremony at the Istana to be followed by official talks.
During the three-day visit in Singapore, Kagame is also scheduled to meet with other state officials including President S. R. Nathan, as well as the business community, tour key Singaporean sites and institutions.
He will also deliver a lecture at the invitation of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
The President is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rosemary Museminali and the Minister of Public Service and Labour, Anastase Murekezi
