Fun and responsibility

How did it feel when you finished your last examination paper before the holidays? Holidays are fun because you get to relax and catch up on your sleep. But how long does it last? Do you sometimes get bored with the routine of daily chores, studying abit and missing friends?

How did it feel when you finished your last examination paper before the holidays? Holidays are fun because you get to relax and catch up on your sleep. But how long does it last? Do you sometimes get bored with the routine of daily chores, studying abit and missing friends? It is in your best interests to spend the holidays with friends who make a positive impact in your life. There are different types of friends - those who like studying (the book worms), the party hopper and those who just like being indoors – very unsocial!  Partying is not bad as long as you associate with the right parties! What kind of party you are at, the people you re with, the stuff at the party should all be taken into serious consideration!  Friends who love alcohol or smoke tobacco and the like are a no go area. Attend parties suitable for the teenager you are – like family get reunions or innocent birthday parties with adult supervision. Indoor friends are not bad although staying in the house all day long is not healthy. You need to get out and do something constructive like go swimming, get involved in church activities or meet friends for ice cream! While you are at it, do not forget your priorities. Education should come first; the rest can come in second.  Allocate some time to study and through revision with friends, exchange ideas and share experiences. This will help you understand things better when school starts. Bear in mind that what you do today is the foundation and the reflection of your future both academically, spiritually, socially and physically. Participate in sports like football, basketball, volleyball or hockey and this will help with physical growth.Learn to make everything you do fun. Teenage years are the best time to have fun. Above everything else, respect and love the Lord because without him you are no nothing. Lead your life in the right direction, but don’t let the right direction lead you wrong - Emma. W
