A visiting Indian expert, Dr Sejal Parag Sanghavi, is planing to introduce the Homeopathy treatment, an alternative medicine that treats not only the symptoms but also the cause of the disease.Homeopathy is a system of medicine which involves treating the individual with highly diluted substances, given mainly in tablet form, with the aim of triggering the body’s natural system of healing. Based on their specific symptoms, a homeopath will match the most appropriate medicine for each patient."For the last 15 years, we have treated tens of thousands of people across the world and we offer treatment for all kinds of diseases. This form of medication has no side effects at all and that is why it becomes the alternative medication of those who have used it,” Dr Sanghavi told The New Times in an interview.Sanghavi is expected to register her company in Rwanda which will offer the kind of treatment if it becomes operational. She will today operate an open camp in Kimisagara, a Kigali City suburb where she will offer free treatment and medication. The alternative medical system of homeopathy was developed in Germany at the end of the 18th century. Supporters of homeopathy point to two unconventional theories: "like cures like”— the notion that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people; and "law of minimum dose”—the notion that the lower the dose of the medication, the greater its effectiveness. Many homeopathic remedies are so diluted that no molecules of the original substance remain.Homeopathic remedies are derived from substances that come from plants, minerals, or animals, such as red onions, arnica (mountain herb), crushed whole bees, white arsenic, poison ivy, belladonna (deadly nightshade), and stinging nettle.Homeopathic remedies are often formulated as sugar pellets to be placed under the tongue; they may also be in other forms, such as ointments, gels, drops, creams, and tablets. Treatments are "individualised” or tailored to each person—it is not uncommon for different people with the same condition to receive different treatments."This form of medication is very cheap considering that it may be 40-5-% cheaper than the mainstream medical use,” said Dr Sanghavi. She added that, during treatments, homeopaths generally begin with detailed examinations of their patients’ histories, including questions regarding their physical, mental and emotional states, their life circumstances and any physical or emotional illnesses. She said; "We then translate this information into a complex formula of mental and physical symptoms, including likes, dislikes, innate predispositions and even body type.”"I have used this medication to treat very many people, including the world’s richest and famous people, but this time I am looking at helping the world saving people and treating the poor. Its not about money, it’s about mental satisfaction. In an interview, with The New Times, Dr Sanghavi presented the most complex skin diseases that she claims to have treated and said the type of medication she uses mainly boost the immune system of the body. She also offers a permanent treatment to kidney failure among several other diseases like cancer that she treats.
