ISONGA FC have released 16 of their star players to top flight National Football League clubs in the upcoming season to create room for other young budding players.

ISONGA FC have released 16 of their star players to top flight National Football League clubs in the upcoming season to create room for other young budding players.Ferwafa secretary general Michel Gasingwa confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday."The decision to release these players to either local clubs or foreign clubs outside Rwanda will help give a chance to other young, talented players to raise through the ranks as we continue to scout and elevate raw talent,” said Gasingwa.According to Gasingwa, any club which will be interested in any player must commit itself to catering for school dues for the player (s), how he will play in the club in question, how the player will be handled, what will happen if the contract is not honoured, and the choice of the preferred player.The majority of the players who will be released featured at last year’s Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico and constitute the national U-20 team which has been taking part in the 2013 African Youth Championship qualifiers prior to their elimination.The players include; Emery Bayisenge (captain), Faustin Usengimana, Hamidu Ndayisaba, Jacques Cyubahiro, Heritier Turatsinze, Abdoul Sibomana, Francois Hakizimana, Eric Nsabimana, Shadad Nsengayire, Justin Mico, Steven Ntalibi, Michel Rusheshangoga, Isaac Muganza, Farouk Ruhinda, Marcel Nzarora and Eugene Habyarimana.Only six players namely; Suleiman Kakira, Patrick Sibomana, Olivier Kwizera, Celestin Ndayishimiye, Robert Ndatimana and Janvier Benedata will stay in the club.Isonga FC which was drafted into the national football league last season (in the second half) to help the Under-20 players gain experience and exposure went on to finish sixth on the standings with 32 points after bringing all sorts of shocks to local footballing giants.Their lead strike Ruhinda finished third on the top scorer’s sheet with eight goals.
