Rwanda will participate in the final phase of the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup due in December in Uganda.
The tournament which is scheduled from December 7- 18 will take place at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, just after the newly-introduced sub-regional (Division 2) qualifiers.
The schedule was announced after Uganda were awarded the hosting rights for the Africa qualification pathway towards the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

In all, eight teams namely Rwanda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Namibia and host nation Uganda, together with two additional teams from the Division 2 qualifiers in Botswana will battle for supremacy for a place at the World Cup beckons.
Botswana Cricket will be hosting the Division 2 qualifier in September where Women’s National squads from Sierra Leone, Botswana, Cameroon, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique will be competing for the two (2) qualification spots into the Regional Finals.

The top two teams from the Africa zone will qualify for the 2024 Women's Cricket World Cup which will be held in Bangladesh.
Rwanda will be hoping to go all out to pick one of the slots available from Africa I order to play the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup tournament.
Currently, Rwanda is among the top nations in cricket in Africa. The country’s squad comprises some young players who helped the U19 team to reach the Supersix of the maiden edition of the U19 Women's World Cup in January.
