The Rwandan pair of Charlotte Nzayisenga and Denise Mutatsimundu is undergoing intensive preparations in Western Province ahead of the Women Beach Junior Volleyball World Championship set for August 29 to September 2 in Canada.Nzayisenga and Mutatsimundu were crowned champions after winning the African Women beach volleyball championship held in Togo last month.Since early this month, the duo is in Rubavu training under the tutelage of national volleyball teams head coach Paul Bitok.The local volleyball federation’s Executive Secretary Gertrude Kubwimana said that they expect a tough outing on the global scene as the pair will be making their maiden debut in the competition."It will be the first time for both Mutatsimundu and Nzayisenga to compete in the world championship. They are committed to improve on their game and we are trying our best as a federation to help them such that they can conduct the preparations successfully”."They are good and confident and we hope the experience gained from the continental championship will help them to fully represent Rwanda and Africa in a triumphant way,” added Kubwimana.According to Kubwimana, the top six countries at the African junior beach volleyball championship namely South Africa, Nigeria, Guinea Conakry, Ghana and Sierra Leone will join Rwanda in hunting for global glory in Canada.The Rwandan team departs for Ottawa next Sunday.
