I read with keen interest the article in yesterday’s issue of The New Times titled "Turkish School opens in Kigali.” It is very impressive to see the great strides being made by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) in attracting foreign direct investments into the country, across all sectors of the economy, including the education sector. Please allow me to wish the management of Hope Kids Academy every success with their new international school in this beautiful country. I know other investors will borrow a leaf from them. For instance, I learnt that Satya Swaroop, Managing Editor of the New Media Group from India is in Kigali to explore the possibility of setting up an International School of Journalism either in Kigali or in one of the provinces. The New Media Group already has business interests in some African countries and it is very encouraging to see the enthusiasm with which they are going to enter Rwanda, as a key to the East African Community (EAC) region.Once given the support being offered by the Government of Rwanda, an Indian School of Journalism will not be ‘the impossible dream’.Clarence Fernandes
