Editor,Allow me to respond to a story published in The New Times, August 15, titled "Youth to be trained in patriotism”.I am happy to learn that the government is introducing patriotism training to encourage voluntarism and national service among the youth.Imparting the youth with such noble ideas like patriotism, self-sacrifice, national service, national honour, dignity and being law abiding citizen is important and good for any country.Many countries have disappeared from the face of the world precisely because they failed to impart these noble views and practices to generations and generations of their youth.Deo NtarugeraKigali
