The last seven days were good for Rwandan music lovers as they experienced the release of smash hit songs produced by home-grown musicians.
From Nel Ngabo’s third album released on Monday, 22 June, which consists of most trending songs on local charts today, to Element’s second release dubbed ‘FOU DE TOI’ which turned out to be a hit before its official release, we highlight the new songs making things happen in the country.
FOU DE TOI – Element ft. Bruce Melodie & Ross Kana
After surprising music lovers with 'Kashe', Element who is best known in music production keeps on proving his fans that he can sing.
The young producer has dropped another banger which is his first single since he signed with 1:55AM entertainment label early this year.
Dubbed ‘FOU DE TOI’, the song features Rwanda’s megastar Bruce Melodie and Ross Kana, the new artiste signed under 1:55AM ENT.
The single made rounds on different social media platforms after Element dropped its snippet on Instagram. The video went viral in seconds and triggered a dance challenge on Tik-Tok which is pushing the song to places.
It was produced by Element himself.
Konjo Remix - John Frog Feat. Bruce Melodie
Despite his jokes that he is killing Rwandan music, Bruce Melodie is so far the best artiste in the country when it comes to delivering hits and introducing Rwandan music into the international arena by featuring global stars.
Just a few days after featuring on Harmonze’s recently released song ‘Zanzibar’, Bruce Melodie also appeared on the remix of ‘Konjo’ by John Frog, an award winning East African Musician with roots from South Sudan.
The song is currently one of the most trending in the country and getting thousands of views daily. John Frog is signed under Independent Tot Records as his management and record label.
Nel Ngabo is on the rise and nothing can stop him. The young musician signed under Kina Music record label, has finally released his third studio album, and Sina is one of the songs on the album that won hearts of many music lovers.
Produced in the Amapiano genre, by Clement Ishimwe, Sina is among the 13 tracks that appeared on ‘Life, Love & Light’.

There is no doubt that this is Juno Kizigenza’s year, seeing how the young artiste is releasing back to back smash hits. This time, he has featured on ‘Your Love’, DJ Paulin and Drama T’s track which is number one trending in Burundi.
Juno appearing on the song which has close to 100, 000 views within less than a day, is proof that Rwandan music is dominating in Burundi.
For Life - Bob Pro ft. Afrique & Okkama
Bob pro has released the first track on his upcoming maiden album to premiere this year.
Dubbed ‘For Life’ the song featured Rwandan youngsters including Afrique and Okkama.
Produced by Niz Beats and mastered by Bob pro himself, the track has close to 100, 000 streams on different streaming platforms.
