KIGALI - The organizing committee of the East African business summit poised to take place in Rwanda, held a conference to highlight how the summit will benefit the Rwandan business community and the country as a whole.

During a town meeting that was held Sunday in Telecom House, different stakeholders of this undertaking pointed out how the summit will be beneficial.

The head if the Rwanda Investment and Export Promotion Agency, Francis Gatare, said that the merging of all investors in the region will usher in a unique opportunity to both the domestic business community and the visitors.

He added that they would share and learn from each other, not to mention the creation of business networks.Gatare said that the East African Business Federation, will come with invaluable innovations like infrastructural improvements like a railway line linking Rwanda to other regions, and ease transportation of commodities.

The Minister in charge of East African Community Affairs, Monique Mukaruriza, said the event will open Rwanda’s human resource to the region and outside countries. "Rwanda’s business potential will be boosted, through opening its products to the outside markets, thereby enhancing its competitiveness," she added. "Rwandans should fully participate in the summit by offering quality and timely services as reflected by our culture, since its one of the things we have to sale," Kigali Mayor, Aissa Kirabo Kakira pointed out.
