Tanzanian club SC Simba’s chairman Ismail Aden Rage resigned from his position as a member of Tanzania Football Federation’s disciplinary committee after Amavubi defender Mbuyu Twite signed a two-year deal with archrivals Yanga Africans.Mbuyu was officially presented to the media as Yanga’s latest signing yesterday in Dar es Salaam.Rage resigned from TFF, according to him, "because unprofessional TFF officials colluded with Yanga and extended the transfer deadline day in order for the deal to be sealed, and the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) secured in (from Rwanda in favour of Yanga).”"From today (Friday), am stepping down from my position as a member of the TFF committee because this federation has proved to be very unfair against Simba,” said Rage. His move comes amidst boiling dispute between the two Tanzanian Premier League giants over the transfer Mbuyu from APR. It had been reported that on August 1, Mbuyu signed a two-year deal and pocketed a sign-on fee worth $50,000 and not $10,000 as reported by a section of the media. The player was given an advance payment of $30,000. However, Yanga joined the race for his signature and it is reported they were even willing to double his sign-off fee as well as give him $39,000 to refund to Simba for the advance payments and other expenses.Yanga have signed both Mbuyu and his twin brother Kabange. The two join Amavubi assistant skipper Haruna Niyonzima at the two time Cecafa-Kagame cup defending champions.
