Italian Marco Aurelio Fontana took bronze, 25 seconds off the pace.Niyonshuti’s not so good performance was the icing on the cake for Rwanda team, which has never won an Olympic medal after the inevitable early exits of Jackson Niyomugabo, Alphonsine Agahozo (Swimming), Yannick Sekamana (Judo), Robert Kajuga (10,000m), Claudette Mukasakindi and Jean Pierre Mvuyekure (Marathon).
