This week, Imbuto Foundation celebrated its 10th year anniversary at colourful ceremonies. At the same time officials with the charity organisation announced that in the 10 years of its existence,  6000 student scholarships have been provided and 5000 girls have been rewarded for outstanding performance in national exams.Tens of thousands of Rwandans have also benefited directly from Imbuto Foundation, with majority receiving Health Insurance. The charity has been at the forefront of advocating for the empowerment and dignity of Rwandans. In its activities, championed by the first Lady Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, Imbuto Foundation has endeavoured to support the development of a healthy, educated and prosperous society as its core mission. Its achievements and initiatives in transforming lives in Rwanda are well documented.  Many people, like some who are infected with HIV, have been given hope and reason to believe that their condition is not the end of life. Some who had lost hope have been helped and inspired to hope again and work for a better and dignified life. The vision and mission of the foundation remain work in progress and as was stated by the First Lady, the true results of this great initiative will be achieved in the years to come when the young ones who are the beneficiaries of its initiatives have grown and matured. In Imbuto Foundation we learn what vision, commitment and care for the disadvantaged can achieve in a society that is undergoing transformation and therefore something worth emulating.
