UPTO 30 Rwandan refugees have been repatriated from Nakivale and Orukinga refugee camps in Uganda.Receiving them at Gatuna border crossing on Thursday, the in-charge of repatriation in the Ministry of Disaster Management and Refugee Affairs, Brenda Shantaria, said the group is  made up of 19 families of 10 males and 20 women. "This group includes those who left the country during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and their coming back is an indication that Rwandan refugees will continue to repatriate voluntarily,” Shantaria said.The majority were transported to their former home districts of Musanze and Rubavu, while two of them were transported to Gatsibo District in the Eastern province.Speaking to The New Times, Alphonse Ntibashira, 46, who hails from Rubavu said: "It’s a great pleasure to finally return to our country because this is the day and moment we have been dreaming of”.He said they decided to get repatriated after being sensitised by their fellow Rwandan refugees who recently visited Rwanda under "Come and See, Go and Tell” programme.
