APR vs Gorilla (Kigali Pelé Stadium)

Sunrise vs Rayon (Nyagatare Stadium)

SC Kiyovu vs Rutsiro (Muhanga Stadium)

Etincelles vs Rwamagana (Umuganda Stadium)

Police vs Marines (Huye Stadium)

With one game left to the end of the Rwanda Premier League season, the title race remains open despite APR enjoying a 10-goal difference at the top of the table.

Head coach Ben Moussa has said his side is prepared not to make any mistakes in the last game against Gorilla FC on Sunday, May 28, at Kigali Pelé Stadium where they can lift the fourth title if they win.

The army side has amassed 60 points from 29 games after their 17 wins, three draws and three losses. They are 10 goals ahead of SC Kiyovu.

"We know that we have an uphill task but we are ready for the challenge ahead of us. We are ready to win the game that can give us the title,” Ben Moussa said.

Rayon Sports who still have a chance to win the title are behind with two points. But for them to win the title, the ‘Blues’ will need to beat Sunrise and hope that APR and SC Kiyovu drop points against Gorilla and Rutsiro, respectively.

Ben Moussa said: "The battle for the league title is not yet over until the end of the final day. We are capable of making history again. And that is our target from now onwards. Our focus now is to win the last game.”

Ben Moussa believes that his players have the ability to win their final game and lift the title but he has warned them to be ready, physically and mentally. The battle for the title is still on because realistically even SC Kiyovu (second) and Rayon Sports (third) are still in the race.

"It will be tough because Gorilla has shown that they are a big team.”

Any single slip-up would cost APR the title. Gorilla is sitting in ninth place with 39 points.

In the club’s 29-year history, APR has never thrown away a title when they were leading towards the end of the league. Although it looks unlikely, a defeat or a draw for APR would blow their last-minute chance of clinching the title if Kiyovu or Rayon Sports win their matches against Rutsiro or Sunrise, respectively.
