KIGALI - Autoxpress, a subsidiary of regional tyre dealers Nyanza Petroleum Ltd based in Kenya, has opened up a fully equipped tyre fitting centre in Kigali city.

During the official launch of the state of the art centre, the director of Nyanza Petroleum Sandeep Sham said that Autoxpress would deal in several tyre activities that include fitting and selling Pirelli tyres and their accessories.

"In Kenya we have the largest market share in tyre business and in Rwanda our premium products will be backed by investing in the local population,” he said.

Sham said that his company was driven to invest in Rwanda due to its fast growing economy, conducive investment climate, and the hospitality of its people.

The marketing and technical assistant of Pirelli Tyres (Europe), Robert Gow, said that Nyanza Petroleum Ltd and Autoxpress have tyre business experience that spans 50 years in Kenya.

"There is no doubt that this facility will be a success and will lead to growth of centres in different parts of the country,” he said.
