Poem: A puff that kills

You plunged into that sea without measure You plunged into that sea without pressure You plunged into that sea with pleasure.

You plunged into that sea without measureYou plunged into that sea without pressure You plunged into that sea with pleasure. You started with a puff, another, then a smokeYou rand and puff aguishly, smoke mercilesslyYou skip classes to have a puff in the name of feeling goodYou ignore the warning of its harm to your healthNot even scared of the diseases that come with itEven after coughing and chocking several timesYou search for coins to buy when there’s no money Your breath stinks whenever you open your mouthYour teeth tainted black and your lips burned redBrother, Sister do you know this cask causes cancerDo you know it is poison rolled into a cigar? Please sister, please brother, it’s time to quit.
