NUR to crown new Miss Campus

We have heard that in a bid to select a new Miss Campus, Campus Initiative Association (CIA) has arranged an extraordinary event to award the best students in all fields. The event will give a showcase to nine beauty contestants modeling and competing for the third edition of Miss Campus 2008.

CIA has invited experienced judges, who will be on the panal to examine the beauties. The finalist will be given the chance to represent the country for Miss Tourism scheduled for October in Ethiopia.

The event, scheduled for 23 May, will attract contestants from Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Congo Braza Ville, Congo Bukavu and Uganda. The project which started as small at university level has now evolved itself into national matter.

An insider, 26-year Jean Pierre Higiro, a finalist in the faculty of medicine, is behind the project.

Dr. Claude in Belgium

Word reaching us from the entertainment industry is that renowned hop hip singer, Jean Claude Iyamuremye, a.k.a Dr. Claude, has been invited by CPGR to perform in Belgium.
The singer, who has proved to his fans within and outside the country to be exceedingly talented singer, is scheduled to perform on August 2.

Snoops say you might expect an air of buoyancy about Dr. Claude today or a sense of vindication that he has finally joined the international music scene. His song against j ealousy has not only attracted attention of his fans locally but it has gone international.
