While tension was increasingly building up at Kigali Golf Club last evening just moments before the golf fraternity elected new office bearers for the 2008-2009 season, Henry Rugamba and Marcel Byusa were in relaxed mood.
Rugamba, Byusa and Taib wa Taib who served in the previous KGC executive committee as PRO, Captain and treasurer were unopposed by press time.
As for club president Ezra Bunyenyezi, he faced stiff challenge from veteran club member Jack Kayonga and Aimable Karyabwite.
For the vice presidency, former club captain Rajan Tiwari and Charles Gahima were in contention.
Phillip Jacob and Apollo Nkunda were in the run for the secretary slot while the golfers’ man Steven Katwiremu stood against Emmanuel Rugumbuka for the post of vice captain.
