Fuel prices at the pump have dropped by 5.8 percent, equivalent to a reduction of Rwf 70 per litre.According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, effective Wednesday, August 1, 2012, the Kigali pump prices for both diesel and petrol "must not exceed Rwf 970 per litre.”For the last three months, diesel has been selling at Rwf 1,000 while petrol was sold at Rwf 1,030."This reduction in fuel prices is mainly due to the reduction in oil prices on the international market in the last two months,” the Ministry said in a statement.
