Editor,Senators on Wednesday last week voted in favour of a motion to return to the senatorial committee in charge of social affairs a draft law determining allowances and benefits for top politicians for further scrutiny. There is also a need to think about how the Government treats the family of the deceased politicians, be it MPs or senior government officials. I think when a politician is no longer in their position they are still entitled to their salary for six months. I understand when they pass away, not tangible assistance goes to their family. This should be looked into.Kanyana
