Five Police officers were, yesterday, promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) after completing a seven and a half months Cadet course at the General Service Unit Training School in Kenya.
Five Police officers were, yesterday, promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) after completing a seven and a half months Cadet course at the General Service Unit Training School in Kenya.The event held at the Police headquarters in Kacyiru, was presided over by the Minister of Internal Security, Sheikh Musa Fazil Harelimana.Harelimana noted that the move to give the officers the rank of AIP was in line with the implementation of a presidential directive.He urged the officers to work hard and promote professionalism in the force."You have to triple your efforts as the rank bestowed upon you reflects commitment and hard work in Police duties,” Harelimana said.Through hard work and discipline, the minister said, they were assured of getting other promotions.The officers attended the Kenyan Cadet course as part of the collaboration between the two forces.The event was also attended by the Inspector General of Police, Emmanuel Gasana, Valens Munyabagisha, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Internal Security and other senior police officers.
