American singer-songwriter, actor and dancer arrives in Kigali today at 8p.m, CEO of the East African Promoters, Joseph Mushyoma confirmed yesterday. Jason Joel Desrouleaux, better known by his stage name Jason Derülo, is expected to treat Kigali residents with real vibes when he takes to the stage at Amahoro Stadium’s main parking lot tomorrow, July 28, for his first concert in the country.Before Saturday’s concert, fans will have an opportunity to meet and greet with Derülo and the Primus Guma Guma SuperStar finalists King James and Jay Polly at "Welcome Party” to be held at K-Club in Nyarutarama. The party starts at 11pm and doesn’t stop till sunset. Entrance fee is Rwf10.000.The American star is in the country to spice up the Primus Guma Guma SuperStar Season Two (PGGSS2) finals. The concert  starts at 5p.m and the entrance fee is Rwf1000 (in the ordinary section) and Rwf5, 000 (in the V.I.P seats). After the concert, all roads will lead to K-Club for the "After Party” – entrance fee is Rwf10.000.Primus Guma Guma SuperStar is a music contest which brings together all professional music stars competing to become a Primus Guma Guma SuperStar. The competition is organised by Bralirwa under its flagship Beer Brand – Primus, in partnership with the East African Promoters.The main act of the event, which is crowning the Primus Guma Guma SuperStar, will see either rapper Jay Polly or R&B singer King James declared the winner of the PGGSS2.This year’s top winner will walk away with Rwf24 million , while the first runner-up takes home Rwf3million.Derülo is known for a plethora of dance floor hits such as "Ridin Solo”, "Wanna Go Home”, "In My Head”, "I Got a Thing for Her”, "Watcha Say”, "Strobelight” and "Breathing”, among others.He is an entertainer in the league of his own. Derülo is an entertainer, who never disappoints fans and his shows always leave audience yearning for more. Speaking to The New Times on Thursday, the National Police Spokesman Superintendent Theos Badege assured of maximum security at the event."We learnt a lesson from the grand night of year’s Primus Guma Guma SuperStar competition, and since then, we’ve been very alert about all the concerts that have been happening in the country,” said Supt. Badege. "We don’t expect such violent incidents to happen again.”Asked on whether the police would carry extra pistols and if there were special penalties for those convicted of causing insecurity at the show, Supt. Badege said: "Public order has its rules. So we don’t intend to put in place special punishments for those caught causing insecurity at the concert,” he said."We shall use the same crowd control measures that we have been using. We shall deploy enough security personnel at the show and we promise that there won’t be any trouble,” he promised.Last year’s Primus Guma Guma SuperStar grand final was a disaster as the furious crowd threw stones at the winner Tom Close in disapproval of the results. The star, who was supposed to perform, was immediately whisked away from the stage by security guards as the crowd wanted a piece of him.He, however, walked away with a prize of Rwf6million, in addition to a one year recording contract with Bralirwa as a Primus Beer Ambassador and recorded a song with Sean Kingston.
