Editor,I would like to state that I agree with Diana Mpyisi in her commentary titled, ‘Some positive reporting on Africa, please?’ (The New Times, July 25). It is obvious that Africa has received the harshest of coverage in the western media.It happened to us (in Kenya) during the 2007/2008 post-presidential election violence. Rwanda had its share in the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi. Second, it’s ironical that Africa is the source of much of the world’s gold, diamonds and oil yet we remain very poor. It’s so sad.David Njenga
