"Impundu”, literally means ‘a joyful noise’, normally made at times of joy and extreme happiness. The "Big Mama and Impundu”, is a Belgium based musical band, founded by five members and has been in existence for a year— growing through its performances, which are ‘unique and of a rich touch’. The band has held performances in Belgium and Uganda, among other countries. The rich performances put forth by each of the members, displays a rich, sensational feeling which lives you longing for more. Natasha is blessed with a smooth silky voice and singing powers while Shema is a guitar maestro.Together, "Big Mama” and "Impundu” group started a year ago, when they released their debut 10-track album, "Ariko”. The joint band comprises over eight members from Rwanda, Burundi, Belgium and Congolese, who together invent rich cultural based performances "Our music mostly speaks to people about life, culture, relationships and the beauty of their countries,” Natasha told The New Times in an interview."We are working on our second album which will be out hopefully next year,” said Julien Kayiganwa, a.k.a Big Mama, the founder of the group. "I really appreciate our fans for their support and for believing in us,” she said. "I urge artistes to do music with love not just for money,” she said.
