Nyagatare- At least five grassroots leaders in Nyagatare District have been suspended from duty after allegations of providing flawed information over eradication of grass thatched houses in the area.
Christophe Kabana, the Executive Secretary of Tabagwe sector in Nyagatare District, along with four members of his staff was suspended from duty for one month after lying to his superiors that the Tabagwe area of the district had no grass thatched houses.
The district Mayor, Fred Atuhe Sabiti, confirmed the development today, pointing out that the sector leaders allegedly lied to their superiors that eradication of thatched houses had been successfully done.
